I was planning to write a longer version of this on my own blog, but...
I'll do the long version next time...
Rules of a pencil
A pencil is about to be shipped away in a crate. It's manufacturer is very worried, so he brought the pencil to one side and spoke to him:"Before you go out into this world, I have 5 things to tell you. If you can remember this 5 things, you will become the best pencil in the world"
Firstly, you are destined for great things, but there is one thing you must keep in mind:"You must not always fight for freedom and must allow a hand to hold you"
Secondly, you might feel pain when a knife scrapes on you, but this pain is necessary to make you a better pencil
Thirdly, do not be too stubborn. You must admit your mistakes and be courageous enough to correct that mistake.
Fourthly, No matter what clothes you wear on the outside, you must be clear of one thing:"what is most important is what is inside"
Lastly, no matter where you go, you must always leave behind markings. No matter the circumstances, you must continue writing and writing
Remember, there is always a meaning in life...
Just a short story I read from somewhere. If it sounds funny, its because my translation isn't that good yet. Its translated from Chinese to English by the way.
